An approved ePG solution is already available
We are pleased to inform you that the ePG solution supported by SRS Informatika Kft. has successfully obtained the B001 authorization from the Hungarian National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV). This means an officially approved, deployable solution for the ePG transition is already available today.
What will change in the coming years?
The new ePG system of the Hungarian National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) is built on electronic receipt issuance and next-generation fiscal communication. In the long run, ePG will fully replace the current Online Cash Register (OPG) systems.
- We would like to draw your attention to two particularly important deadlines:
- January 1, 2027. From this date, new cash registers may only be commissioned in Hungary with an ePG system. Anyone opening a new business, expanding an existing system, installing a new till, or replacing an existing cash register must plan for an ePG compatible solution.
- July 1, 2028. Online Cash Register (OPG) systems will be fully phased out. All affected businesses must have transitioned to the new technology by this date.
